Bouroullec brothers for Nanimarquina

I have had these images on my desktop forever and I just had to share them with you.  I am so draw to the eclectic qualities in each space and how the aren't cluttered.  I can't stand when spaces are over stuffed and on the verge of 'packrat' eclectic.  These have air and character!

I love this chair!  I thought I might get my act together and begin a list of project I would like to work on during the fall.  One being make a chair.  Do you know this designer?

Gustafson Porter created this balloon canopy for the venice Architectural Biennale. Using helium balloons and shade cloth he created this beautiful drape!

I'm rethinking the idea of wallpaper.  I've been seeing lots of statement walls with all this new fancy wall paper and as much as I love it... the stuff aint cheap.  Why not go small and do a little area with it?  As I mentioned Im getting into redecorating the apartment and this always brings out the idea of painting the wall but all of a sudden Im googling funky wallpaper.  Did you know there is a temporary kind that you can peel off when done (perfect for renters like me).

This year my goal is to collect a series of these chairs.  I see them everywhere!

It's always greener on the... outside?

Check out this Japanese house/garden.  I love how it is just consumed and completely covered by the foliage.  Talk about getting in touch with your fauna and flora! Brilliant!

Cento1 for Wilier by Emmanuel Zonta

Emmanuel Zonta is a young product designer that has decided to take inspiration from the classic 101 bike in order to a make a wodden one. Three weeks of hard work and research for the right type of wood. Beautiful result. Sporty and solid, yet elegant.

The Borrowers.

When i was little Maxine and I use to cut and tar things out of magazines and put them in a scrap book.  I kinda think our blog is like that and something I look back on previous posts for inspiration and ideas.  We are like the borrowers taking ideas from others concepts and stories and giving them our opinion.  I love sharing a blog with you.
(I just got a trunk like that for my living room... but this photo has tempted me to get new pillows for the couch and a bigass candle for the table.

Surrounding yourself with Art is healthy! My dream would be to wake up to a Clyfford Still painting

I got some old edison bulbs and made a hanging lamp like this for the living room! So fun!
(i love stacked books and little nick nacks.  I also would die for a mint pillow case!

Over the weekend I did a little rearranging of my apartment.  I get bored easily with this space and love how one can appreciate a space when there is a little effort in tweaking it and add something fun like a new light, or framing some new shots.  September is here and it always makes me  think of new beginnings.  The children who live above me are gearing up for school which starts tomorrow and friends are leaving back to various universities.   After a long summer of laziness I am glad I jumped back into a rigorous work schedule that is giving me a feeling of back to September.  So on that note I decided to re-due the living room by placing the couch in a new direction, making some hanging lamps and painting a wall grey... or green... or orange... or black! haha Its in the process of transforming ha.  Have a great beginning of fall! (should I be saying fall yet?)  What are you beginning?
That lamp! That Floor! That Piping!
